The new headquarters of the Qatar Football Association are located on the 40th floor of the Al Bidda Tower. Also included are a restaurant, meeting area, and fitness center – expressly called for by the Association in view of the forthcoming world football (soccer) championships set to take place in Qatar in 2020.

The building’s design is an architectural concept engineered by Archiroom (Italian architectural design studio) that brings a modern touch to traditional Qatari styles, infusing the spaces with visual references to soccer through the use of particular materials, graphics and lighting.
A futuristic project, the building’s spiral shape has also earned it the nickname of the Tornado Tower. Inaugurated in 2011, it is fitted with Moon door handles by Shigeru Ban.
